To Get Rid Of Zits, Do You Know The Crucial Missing Link?

October 22nd, 2008 by admin

I read somewhere recently that when you have zits, you should “keep the affected area clean, but do not over wash”

? ! ^- !!

This bit of advice just presses several buttons for me, all at once. What do they mean?

Unfortunately, when trying to get rid of zits, lots of people try to follow that kind of suggestion and end up obsessing over the ‘correct level of cleanliness’ of their skin.  Meanwhile, their poor buffed and polished skin dries up and becomes more vulnerable.

Do you know why your skin dries up with too much cleaning and scraping? You probably do, but I’ll say, anyway. It’s because you’ve completely stripped your skin’s own natural shield. It’s very own living coat of armour. Yes, your skin is alive up top. And that’s a really good thing. Alive with tiny, tiny sentries (bacteria) that do some amazing things like:

Prevent nasty, skin-damaging bacteria and fungi from from taking up residence. They do this by simply being there.
Create an environment your skin luxuriates in, and unwanted bacteria and fungi abhor.
Actively do battle with any bacterial or fungal chancers that try to break through your defences.

So why on earth would you want to sweep all this good work away?

Okay, no one is suggesting you don’t wash!

You do want to remove dirt and grime from the surface of your skin. But gently. While leaving as much of your skin’s natural protection, as possible, in tact.

How do you do that?
By washing with ultra mild, natural, low-additive soaps (you might consider trying soaps that contain glycerine which is a moisture magnet).
By washing with the smallest amount of soap possible.
By washing with lukewarm to cool water. Not searing hot.
By thoroughly rinsing all traces of soap off your skin, with cool water.
By gradually introducing soap-free washes using your fingertips or gentle microfibre cloths designed specially for the face

This leads on nicely to the 2nd point that is vexing me. And that is …

Your skin does not exist in one dimension.

While getting frantic about the outside it is too easy to ignore the other side. The in-side of your skin. The exact same huge expanse of skin that is in intimate contact with every vital organ and system in your body. If not directly, then through your blood, lymph and nerves.

Can you see that in placing so much emphasis on the out-side of  our skin, we’re leaving out an enormous chunk of the acne equation?

Get Rid Of Zits To Get Fit

October 14th, 2008 by admin

Yet another reason to get rid of zits as a priority.

New research, published in the Journal of Health Psychology, found that both male and female acne sufferers are less likely to participate in sport or exercise.

Why?
Because they are so worried about what others will think about the way they look. Because when you do most forms of sports and exercise, your skin is exposed, and covering up your acne is less of an option.

This is alarming in so many ways:

  • Lack of exercise leads to serious conditions such as  heart problems, blood pressure, diabetes, and loads more … You don’t want to invite that into your life.
  • Lack of exercise also turns down the volume of joy and happiness in your life. You really don’t want to do that.
  • Lack of exercise aggravates acne. Makes it worse. Makes you less inclined to go out there and exercise. Vicious cycle.

If this is something you struggle with, have you considered:

  • Taking part in sports in which you can cover up more of your body with long sleeves and long sweat pants? Sports like running, speed walking, most team sports, cycling, etc
  • Exercises at home – skipping, dancing, exercise tapes, stepping
  • This gentle, natural way to get rid of zits quickly and keep them away -> Acne No More System

Get Rid Of Zits - With A System That Is Dynamite

September 26th, 2008 by admin

Consider this:

You’ve lived in your home for a while now. You know it needs redecorating – it’s getting a little grubby with finger marks on the walls, stains on the carpet. But … you know … decorating is really not your thing.

Then one fine day you get a letter from the parents. They are coming to stay the weekend.

Panic!

You go get paint to freshen up the place. And a couple of rugs to place strategically over the worst of the stains. You start painting. Oh no. Where did that crack come from? Oh no – there’s another … and another! What the … Look at that canyon in that corner! Aaaargh. You’re running out of time and patience. You decide to paint on, taking care to slap particularly thick layers of paint over the cracks. Seems to do the job. Sharp looking job - no more cracks – fabulous, nag-free visit with the parents.

But you know what happens a couple of days after they leave? Yes. The cracks reappear without a care in the world.

I think you know where I’m going with this little story. I’m comparing the decorating scenario to the way a lot of people try to sort out their acne. On the surface. Scrub the skin. Peel it. Crowbar those pores open. Scoop it all out. And then wonder why their acne returns.

The solution I’m suggesting, is to sort out the damage in the foundations that caused the big cracks in the first place, fill in the cracks with proper filler cement, and then paint over. A little more work but lasting results.

Similarly,  there is background work that must be done, to get rid of zits and keep them away. Keep them away because you have removed the reason for them being there, not because you keep applying expensive solutions.

Here’s an easy way to find out what needs to be done, and how to do it -> Acne No More System

Get Rid Of Zits - With Or Without Side Effects?

August 26th, 2008 by admin

Once again Accutane comes under the spotlight. It’s yet another lawsuit about Accutane side effects.

You know, when you’re trying to get rid of zits , sooner or later you hear about the drug Accutane.

Lots of people find themselves considering whether or not to use it for their acne.

If you are, here are some thoughts you may like to consider:

  • Accutane is extremely potent. It is usually used to treat severe acne, and given as a last resort, after other acne medicines or antibiotics have failed.
  • Accutane approaches acne from a different angle to most conventional acne drugs. Whereas most acne drugs aim to do battle with the bacteria associated with acne, Accutane aims to mimic one of nature’s key acne weapons. What is this weapon? The humble vitamin A.
  • Accutane is a form of vitamin A. And as you may know, vitamin A is excellent at nourishing your skin and helping your skin heal itself more quickly.
  • However, nature holds the patent on the real vitamin A, which means Accutane is an imitation. A derivative.
  • Amongst other reasons, because Accutane is not the real vitamin A, because of the doses that are prescribed, and because Accutane is not delivered in a detoxifying nutrient matrix like natural vitamin A is, … Accutane comes with side effects.
  • Some of these side effects include:

Very severe, life-threatening birth defects if the mother takes even one single dose while pregnant.
                     Painfully dry, cracked, peeling lips,
                    Very dry itchy skin
                    Dry nose and nosebleeds
                    Sore eyes and eyelids
                    Joint and muscle pains
                    Hair loss
                    Gut pain, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting
                    Headaches
                    Increased sensitivity to sunlight
                    Depression, thoughts of suicide,  hallucinations

  • Accutane “cures” about half of those  who take it
  • It’s not a one-shot deal for everyone – you need to take it for 4-6 months at a time. Some need to repeat treatment.

On the other hand, you might also like to consider a powerful approach that is extremely safe and works to remove the root causes of your acne. So you can get rid of zits once and for all. Please click here to discover how to get rid of zits without having to worry about side effects.

To Get Rid Of Zits Would You Rather Pay $275 or $39.97?

August 21st, 2008 by admin

Yesterday, Cynthia Chen MD released the results of her study on how acne affects teenagers. Yes they want to get rid of zits. But it was really striking, being able to put a dollar figure to the specific type of acne solution teenagers and their parents want.

Five points Ms Chen emphasized are:

1. Acne is almost unavoidable

2. Having zits is the pits. They cause huge amounts of sadness and anxiety

3. No one wants to be left with acne scars (duh!)

4. Conventional treatments are only 40% - 60% effective

5. Teenagers and their parents are very serious about getting rid of zits. So much so they are willing to pay $275.

The question is … which would you rather pay:

A. $275 to get rid of 40 – 60% of your zits?

Or

B.$39.97 to get rid of over 90% of your zits – permanently?
